About Our Guests
Melissa Lipka
Melissa is the Head of Projects Professional Development West Region for Promethean. Before taking on this role, she was a field EC covering Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. She is a former teacher of 23 years in grades 3rd through 8th. Melissa earned her Bachelor¹s and Master¹s Degree in Education from the University of Michigan. Her passion for teaching led her to become more involved in technology. She wanted to excite and engage her students in learning by the use of technology. She also wanted to encourage her colleagues to do the same.
By joining the team at Promethean, Melissa is now able to excite and engage teachers and instructors and teach them how the use of technology can open so many new paths in minds of children.
Melissa lives in Allen Park, Michigan with her husband Jim and children Alex and Hannah. She enjoys various sports such as basketball, softball, and watching football. She also enjoys spending time outdoors gardening and decorating.
Krista Cartwright
Krista Cartwright is a 4th Grade Teacher at Marrs Elementary in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. She graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Murray State University in 1996. She has 20 years of experience in the classroom. She has been a Classroom Technology Leader and has served as a District Tech member for several years. Krista became a Promethean Master Educator in 2012, has been part of the PEP Squad (Promethean Evangelist Program) since 2018, and became a Certified Promethean Teacher 2020.
